Press Releases The Learning Trust Announces Geneva Vision Strategist Version 3.1 Software Release Irvine, California - March 20, 2003 - The Learning Trust announced today general availability of version 3.1 of its enterprise strategic planning software solution, Geneva Vision Strategist. This newest version of their flagship product includes a number of product enhancements and workflow features that support more effective use of roadmapping for strategic planning in large organizations and across supplier networks. "This is one of our most important product releases this year," said Carl Dietz, CEO of The Learning Trust. "Our technology is now capable of uniting the strategic planning processes of completely separate business units or even enterprises to create strategic plans that link to tactical systems like Project Management and Supply Chain Management." Version 3.1 includes many features for cross-functional collaboration. For example, software users will now be able to create mutually agreed upon relationships between their own roadmaps and the roadmaps of their colleagues or suppliers. This improvement in collaboration is supported by new functionality for choosing specific planning elements on any number of roadmaps or parts of roadmaps. The new version also includes an XML system interface that can automatically synchronize data between project management systems like Primavera and Microsoft Project, providing large enterprises with real time links between Product Lifecycle Management and Strategic Planning processes. In version 3.1 these links can include data from web-based interviews created by Geneva Vision Synergy, a companion product to Vision Strategist. This new capability will enable users' to extract and gather data from hundreds - even thousands - of professionals inside and outside of their organization and automatically create new (or supplement existing) roadmaps.
