Press Releases The Learning Trust's First Software-Enabled Roadmapping Workshop a Success Irvine, California - April 17, 2003 - The Learning Trust announced today that their "Software-Enabled Roadmapping" workshop held in Schaumburg, Illinois this week was a sold out event, with over 50 attendees learning how to use technology roadmapping software for advanced strategic planning. The one-day workshop was held on April 14th at the corporate headquarters for Motorola. It was also the highest rated The Learning Trust workshop to date, based on evaluation forms completed by attendees. Irene Petrick, PhD of Penn State University led the workshop. Dr. Petrick taught attendees how to create cross-functional alignment in their strategic plans using roadmaps. The Learning Trust facilitators demonstrated how planning information can be gathered using software and kept up to date using a specialized database. "We are thrilled by the positive response to Dr. Petrick and this workshop," said Lisa MacDonald, Director of Marketing for The Learning Trust. "Roadmapping is clearly a subject of great interest. This tutorial is a focused, accessible way for professionals at all levels to dive in and get started." The highlight of the event was the hands on roadmapping exercise where attendees were given the chance to build their own roadmap with the company' s software: Geneva Vision Strategist. At the conclusion of the workshop, 20 attendees signed on to participate in an online Vision Synergy interview. Vision Synergy is The Learning Trust's automated roadmap creation software that enables companies to create roadmaps dynamically from email interviews.
