Press Releases The Learning Trust Innovation Management Conference a Success IRVINE, Calif. - May 3, 2002 - The Learning Trust, a leading enterprise software firm specializing in creating leading innovation management software enterprises, is pleased to announce the overwhelming success of its recent innovation management conference, Innovation Roadmapping: The Practice and the Methods. The event was held last week on April 25th - 26th in Las Vegas, Nevada and drew more than 50 attendees from a broad range of industries, representing corporate, education, and military organizations. "The faculty and attendees really made this event exciting for us. Their participation at this particular conference was inspiring. Whenr we have this many people coming together to share best practices in innovation management and strategic roadmapping we end up with lots of new ideas." said Carl Dietz, The Learning Trust Chairman and CEO. A key highlight of the event was the live case study involving the U.S Air Force in which the attendees and faculty leveraged their knowledge and experience to add ideas for their planning and forecasting process represented by U.S. Air Force participants. Other highlights of the conference included an interactive group exercise called "The Roadmapping Game". Participants were given the opportunity to collaborate to build a fictional company into greatness while battling against market and technology uncertainty and change. The group successfully found alignments between technology developments and market opportunities by creating roadmaps that included product evolution plans, capabilities, and of course market pull and technology push drivers. At the conclusion of the conference, attendees were given the opportunity to anonymously give their feedback regarding the event through an online survey. Over 95% of those who responded noted that most aspects of the event exceeded their expectations or were excellent.
