U.S. Air Force Awards The Learning Trust Contract for Technology Roadmapping
IRVINE, Calif. - June 4, 2002 - The Learning Trust announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Edwards Air Force Base to provide software and consulting services in the area of strategic roadmapping. The contract includes development of Edwards Air Force Base specific roadmapping templates intended to reduce the time required to create roadmaps. The award also includes 2002 software licenses to Geneva Vision Strategist, to enable strategic planners at Edwards to collaborate online as they develop and update Air Force strategic roadmaps
"Air Force Strategic Planners continuously manage high levels of uncertainty." said Carl Dietz, CEO of The Learning Trust. "We are pretty excited about playing a support role to their work. Edwards Air Force Base works in some interesting areas that can greatly benefit from digitized roadmapping practices."
The first phase of consulting and training in digitized roadmapping techniques will be followed by a pilot program using The Learning Trust software. Planners will work across multiple locations to create detailed roadmaps capable of monitoring change and triggering management reviews of change as it occurs. After the initial pilot program is completed, an evaluation of efficiency gains and knowledge sharing improvements will take place.
The Geneva Vision Strategist solution improves strategic planning and innovation management by creating functional, interactive roadmaps that provide a "big-picture" view of prioritized product and technology developments, and links them with their associated market trends and business strategies. The result is more accurate forecasts and an improved ability to manage continuing change and market uncertainty.
