White Paper on Technology Roadmapping Published by University of Cambridge
Cambridge, United Kingdom. - November 14, 2001 - University of Cambridge's Centre of Technology Management, a part of the Department of Engineering at the University, has published a White Paper titled, "Technology Roadmapping: Linking Technology Resources to Business Objectives." The Learning Trust has received permission from Cambridge to distribute the 18-page work from its corporate web site.
The Cambridge paper explores technology roadmapping from three perspectives: Purpose, Format, and Process. The various types of roadmaps in use today are organized and discussed in the paper. It also includes statistics on roadmapping and recommendations on how to extend the process of roadmapping into a practice within an organization.
Much of the research that provided background for the White Paper came from a three-year applied research project supported by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). The Learning Trust is distributing the document as a service to individuals who are interested in learning more about technology roadmapping
